As students of Regional tourism on 10th May within our hotel management lesson we got the opportunity to be a part of an excursion in Bratislava. We visited Hotel Devín****, which is located directly in the historical centre of our capital city. From the hotel there is a beautiful view of the river Danube and also the Bratislava Castle. Our guide was one of the managers in the hotel. She told us a lot of important and interesting facts about the history of the hotel, which has been welcoming guests for over 60 years.

Today the hotel has 89 different kinds of rooms, such as standard, superior, executive, junior suite and premier suite. The manager showed us some of the rooms and other parts of the hotel, for example the French restaurant, where the chefs prepare traditional Slovak, but also international specialities. We could see congress rooms and the spa centre, where the hotel provide thai massages. We are all glad we had a chance to see the exterior and the interior of the hotel.

We learned a lot of new information about the functioning of the hotel, which we can use in the future.
