Day 20. November 2017 students 2. year, the branch of regional tourism, Department of tourism FSŠ UKF in Nitra, participated in professional excursions, the goal of which was to enrich the theoretical knowledge of the subject of the Basics of the hospitality industry, practical experience of the internal environment of a successful hotel which is the hotel Mercure Bratislava Centrum.
After a cordial welcome staff of hotel at the premises of the hotel, us in one of the congress halls expecting the managing director of the hotel, Mr Ladislav Olcsváry. Mr. director of the us on real examples from practice “dedicated” to the internal issues of the hotel. Through audio-visual presentation we are familiar with the marketing strategy of the hotel, which is currently, according to the words of the general director: “an indispensable component of the differentiation from the competition”.
After the answered questions of the students, devoted to just the basic and additional services, we continued the tour of the hotel premises, decorated in the style of pop-art. After a tour of the rooms, we visited the facilities of the hotel reception, restaurant and bar, where we were familiar with the complementary services and gastronomy, which imaginatively combines traditional Slovak gastronomy with the flavors of different corners of the world.
In addition to a varied offer of food and drinks in the menu of the hotel restaurant, gave us the team managers of the hotel had prepared an unexpected gastronomic experience completed cake to opportunities fifty anniversary of the founding of the maternal of a multinational hotel company Accor Hotels.
