As a students of tourism, we attended a conference at the High Tatras in Grand hotel Bellevue. It was an amazing experience. The topic of the conference was Exploring Innovation in 21. Century. HORECA conference was a great opportunity to learn about the current trends in hospitality tourism. This conference is also very important event for the hotel sector. The program including outstanding international and Slovak speakers or hoteliers, excellent networking and business opportunities, a trade exhibition, gala dinner and the best manager of the year.

They spoke about innovation, importance of feedbacks, guest complains and their own experiences with managing successful hotels in Slovakia and abroad. The psychologist was also invited. She expressed her opinion how she resolves situation and conflicts with guests. Very interesting was discussion with managers of three hotels (Elizabeth Trenčín, NH Bratislava Gate One, FIS Jasná). Hotel NH Bratislava Gate One presented their online check-in, check out and Hotel FIS Jasná presented active communication with the guest.

During the free program we tasted different kinds of coffee and tea. We participated in short presentations of Slovak wines. The conference has enriched us with new information and nice presents.
